Basically, this locks your turrets to their current rotation, no matter how you turn your ship. This fixes your current weapon to a point relative to your ship. Press CTRL+X to lock your guns to a bearing.
There are two different ways to lock your guns in World of Warships: locked on bearing and locked on sector. Locking your guns allows you to survey your surroundings while firing at the same time.
